Biography
Soo Hyeon Park is a partner at Yoon & Yang LLC and his main practice areas include real estate, construction, litigation and arbitration.
Mr. Park has successfully represented clients across a broad spectrum of advisory and dispute matters, ranging from traditional construction disputes involving construction payments, final settlement payments, and damages to complex legal issues concerning urban redevelopment and reconstruction projects, real estate trusts, and project financing (PF). He also helps clients proactively manage legal risks through careful interpretation of the Framework Act on the Construction Industry, the Fair Transactions in Subcontracting Act, the Housing Act, and other relevant legislation, as well as meticulous contract reviews. His deep expertise in the real estate and construction sector is further demonstrated by his recent publication, Lectures on Construction Dispute Practice (Bobmunsa, 2026), a comprehensive treatise covering the full spectrum of construction disputes, causes of action, and practical litigation strategies.

- Represented Samchully ES in arbitration on request for payment of construction costs and liquidated damages
- Handled arbitration on expansion of combined cycle power plant in Cote d’Ivoire
- Handled arbitrations involving power plants, including Ulsan Combined-cycle Power Plant, Taean Thermal Power Plant Units No. 9 and 10, and Dangjin Thermal Power Plant, etc.
- Handled arbitrations involving disputes of SNG plant construction
- Advised on the dispute involving construction of a plant in Tennessee, United States
- Handled the case involving construction costs sharing for Hyundai E&C and DL E&C, etc.
- Advised on private investment projects, e.g. for A Line (Paju to Gangnam) of Great Train Express (GTX), Baegot Bridge, and Ui-Sinseol LRT
- Handled litigations involving improvement project associations, including Jangwi 7 District Association and Namyangju Jinju Apartment Association, etc.
- Obtained preliminary injunctions, e.g. for confirmation of position as preferred bidder for the development project for unused land at the Northern side of Seoul Station, and for preservation of position as preferred bidder for the urban park of Changwon City
- Advised trust companies including KORAMCO REITS & TRUST, Korea Real Estate Investment & Trust, and Korea Investment Management, etc. in various litigations
